Our Story
Thanks for stopping by Soviero’s Tri-County Garden Center. Back in 1989, my dad Clem Soverio turned his lifelong dream into this place you see today. He poured his heart into building this garden center. Today, we carry on that dream with the ideals of family, community, and hard work. Despite the many trials and tribulations – like when fire took our building – we rebuilt and kept these same ideals going strong.
Quality Greenery
We grow greenhouse varieties that thrive locally, including rare finds and natives. We carry organic soils, fertilizers, and pest controls.
Local Delivery
Know how much bulk landscaping material you need? Visit our online store and have it delivered right to your doorstep.
These days, my mom Patricia and I, run things together, trying to honor Dad’s vision while putting our own stamp on it. Located in the heart of Forsyth, Davidson, and Guilford counties, we try to mix the classic gardening knowledge Dad valued with new ideas folks are excited about now.
Drop by and see us sometime. We’d love to help with your next project.

Get Growing Quick Answers
We get asked a lot of questions throughout the day. Here are answers to some things folks want to know before they stop by:
Do you deliver bulk materials?
You bet! We deliver all around High Point and nearby areas! Our delivery service covers bulk mulch, soil, and gravel with fees starting at $55 within 10 miles of our shop. Need a Bobcat delivery? We offer that too for $120. If you’re a bit farther out, we add just $8 for every additional 5 miles. Give us a call, and we’ll be happy to provide a specific estimate for your location.
When's the best time to plant in the Triad?
Depends on what you’re after! For summer vegetable plants like tomatoes and peppers, wait until after our last frost (usually mid-April or so). Spring flowers can go in earlier.
Fall’s actually perfect for trees and shrubs – they get their roots established before summer heat hits. Stop by and we’ll give you the scoop on whatever you’re looking to grow.
What makes your plants better than the big box stores?
A bunch of our plants are grown right here in our own greenhouses. That means they already know our weird NC weather, haven’t been stressed sitting on trucks forever, and are just plain healthier from the start. Plus, everyone working here actually gets their hands dirty in their own gardens – we can give you real-world advice, not just read off those little plastic tags
What's the difference between your organic and conventional products?
Our organic options are OMRI-listed (that’s the Organic Materials Review Institute), meaning they’re approved for organic gardening. They typically work with natural processes and beneficial organisms. Conventional products often work faster but might affect beneficial insects too. It comes down to your gardening philosophy – we carry both, so you can make your own choice. Either way, we only stock quality products that work in the Triad climate.
What are your seasonal hours?
We change things up with the seasons since our customers’ garden needs shift throughout the year. Spring and fall (March-June, Sept-Oct) we’re open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 1pm-5pm. During summer and winter (July-August, Nov-Feb), we’re here Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm, but closed on Sundays. Always best to give us a quick call if you’re coming from far away!
Do you sell gift cards?
Absolutely! Soverio’s Garden Center gift cards make perfect presents for the green thumbs in your life (or folks just getting started). They’re available in any amount, never expire, and can be used on everything from plants to pottery. Just ask at the register next time you’re in.
